Mr. Rión has more than 25 years of experience in investment banking. Prior to founding Pablo Rión y Asociados in 1990, Mr. Rión was a partner at Elek, Moreno Valle y Asociados for five years, where he successfully led several major cross border and domestic investment banking projects. Mr. Rión was also assistant vice president at Bank of America in the distressed asset group. He also worked several years in the mergers and acquisitions division at Femsa. Previously he collaborated in the strategic planning division at Teléfonos de Mexico (Telmex), and was CFO at Grupo Domit, a leading Mexican shoe retailer. Mr. Rión currently is member of the Venture Capital Valuation Board of Grupo Posadas, and is also member of the board of Megacable and of Agua Natural. Mr. Rión has been professor of Finance in the MBA programs at ITAM (Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México) and ITESM (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey).
