Global M&A’s German office in Dusseldorf was founded in 1958 by Dr h.c. Walter Scheel, Gerhard Kienbaum and Prof. Dr Dr h.c. Carl Zimmerer. We are one of the oldest independent M&A consultancies specialised in the sale and acquisition of medium-sized companies ("German Mittelstand") in Western-Germany. The value of the transactions on which we advised lies between €5 and €500 million.

Our many decades of consulting experience have given us high levels of expertise in almost all industries.

    After training as reserve officer with paratroopers and MBA studies at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg including internships in Tokyo, Mumbai and Los Angeles, Christian Kollman joined Global M&A Germany in 1995. He led domestic and cross border transactions in various industries such as automotive suppliers, machine construction, IT services, IT distribution, chemicals (adhesives), construction material manufacturing and distribution. He is also a speaker at advanced corporate finance training courses.

    Xaver started his career as auditor with Arthur Andersen. Afterwards he worked for two years as controller with Hoffmann La Roche in Switzerland. He joined Global M&A Germany (InterFinanz) in 1987, became managing director in 1991 and four years later managing partner. Xaver gained expert knowledge in the sectors automotive, electronics, machinery, pharmaceutics, and publishing.
